Odisha High Court ASO Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification
A applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in any discipline or a qualification similar to that. He/she must have sufficient computer program understanding.
Age Limit (as on 01/07/2021)
To be eligible to apply for ASO positions in the High Court of Orissa, Cuttack, the applicant must be over 21 years of age and under 32 years of age.
- Upper Age Relaxation for women & SC/ST/SEBC- 05 years
- PWDs Upper Age Relaxation-10 years
- Upper Age Relaxation for people with disabilities belonging to the groups SC/ ST/ SEBC-15 years-
- For ex-servicemen applicants for the privilege of relaxation and reservation benefits, age relaxation would be as per the government regulations specified for the function.
Application Fees
An applicant is expected to pay a Rs.500 non-refundable and non-adjustable fee to be charged electronically using the debit card/credit card/net banking system. Applicants belonging to SC, ST, & People with Disabilities are exempted from the examination fee charge.

Orissa High Court ASO Selection Process
The applicants will be chosen through the following selection stages for ASO posts:
- Preliminary Test/Examination,
- Written Test
- Computer Application Test
- Viva-voce Exam
Orissa High Court ASO Exam Pattern
- i) Preliminary Examination
In accordance with the Graduation Course on the subjects of General English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude, the Preliminary Examination shall bear 150 marks. There will be 150 Objective Types of Questions with Multiple Choice Answers numbers in such a Preliminary Exam. For each wrong answer there will be a negative marking of 0.5 points.
- ii) Written Examination
The Court shall appeal to candidates for a written examination who, in the case of Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe candidates, have obtained not less than 33 per cent of the marks and, in the case of others, 40 per cent of the marks in the Preliminary Examination.

- iv) Viva-Voce Test
The marks obtained by the candidate(s) in the Viva-Voce Test shall be added to the marks obtained by the candidate(s) in the Written Examination in order to arrive at the total marks obtained by the candidate(s) and the names of the candidates shall be arranged on the basis of those total marks in order of merit. Orissa High Court ASO Salary Structure
The applicants will be paid with a pay scale of Rs.35,400-Rs.l,12,400 with normal Dearness and other Allowances as the Government of Odisha can from time to time approve.
